Getting the edge on your business contracts!

When you do enter into a contract you want to make sure you have a legally binding document that will ensure it serves the purpose it was created to do. In this Lunch & Learn, Attorneys Trisha Barita and Carol Keough will highlight some legal issues surrounding Texas contracts to provide you with an edge to dealing with contracts in your business.

Carol is a Director with Coats Rose and has over twenty years of experience in the fields of labor and employment law business and insurance law. She is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law. She has successfully represented corporate clients before administrative agencies and in court at the federal and state trial and appellate levels. Carol specializes in representing businesses in all areas of labor and employment law, commercial law and insurance law. She provides consultation and practical resolutions of employee issues. Further, Carol uses her business commercial background to work with businesses, handling business contracts and insurance law questions. Carol is currently active in many business organizations and activities across Houston including NAWBO, ABA, HBA and is a Board Member of the Women’s Contractors Association.
Trisha is an Attorney at the law firm of Coats Rose working primarily in drafting and disputes of Business and Construction Contracts, Labor and Employment, Commercial Litigation and Personal Injury Defense. She has represented clients that range from small local businesses with less than 10 employees to large national corporations with thousands of employees. Trisha has been practicing litigation for eight years and has represented clients in federal and state courts throughout Texas. Providing legal education to her business and corporate clients is a high priority for Trisha. She offers complimentary Legal, Lunch & Learns to clients that create a consistent stream of information to their In-house Counsel, Supervisors, Managers and Human Resource Representatives. Trisha has also been requested to speak at many private and public events and luncheons on employment and contract issues. Trisha is active in many business organizations and activities across Houston including NAWBO, Women Contractors Association and Greater Houston Builders Association.
