8:00 – 9:00 Community Story: Making Tableau Happen at Staples
At Staples we have built, in 2 years with limited resources, a very large Tableau development and user community. More than 300 developers across 20 departments with over 2000 active server users. This session will explain the success story behind Enterprise adoption and deployment within our company and what, according to us, the crucial elements for success are. We will present this visually, supported by examples of tools and Tableau dashboards we have developed.
9:00 – 9:30 Community Stories: Making Business Data Analytic Ready at IDEXX
With over 6000 employees in more than 175 countries, IDEXX creates exceptional long-term value for their customers, employees, and shareholders by enhancing the health and well-being of pets, people, and livestock. IDEXX has amassed a large amount of business data and made a strategic decision to transform that data using BIRST - making it analytical reporting ready for Tableau to consume as a Data Source – at a fraction of the time, cost and effort than using ‘traditional’ DW/ETL technologies.
9:30 – 10:00 Tableau Conference 2016 Report, Q&A
The annual Tableau User Conference is being held in November. Attendees of this year’s conference will share lessons learned and exciting new product developments seen at this year’s show. In addition, open Q&A time will be provided to share challenges and best practices.
10:00 – 10:30 Optional ‘Tableau Clinic’
Do you have a problem you wish to solve (Patient)? Do you have knowledge you wish to share (Doctor)? If ‘yes’, please participate in the Tableau Clinic! We will use an area set aside for folks to be a ‘patient’ or ‘Doctor’. For Doctor, no medical degree needed!
