Join us for a lively discussion and presentation by Wendy Tuck - present day skipper of MAIDEN

Wendy is the first female skipper to win a round-the-world yacht race!

Speaking about the gal that pulled together the worlds first all female crew to race around the world- Tracy Edwards.

Edwards raced MAIDEN in the Whitbread Round the World in 1989/90 setting several records and breaking the way for women to compete internationally.

(earlier marketing featured an appearance with Tracy Edwards - but her world travels will not bring her to SF during MAIDENS stay. The film documentary MAIDEN has opened nationwide -see the film prior to attending.

The ship MAIDEN is on a world tour - landing in San Francisco in mid August for about 10 days

SBYC is fortunate to have MAIDEN accept our invitation to bring her to South Beach Harbor for a few days.

Saturday - Open Boat Tour at PIER 40 Guest Dock from 11:30 am - 3:30pm

Young girls and boys interested in sailing are encourage to come meet the present day crew and explore the ship.

Speaking Engagement at South Beach Yacht Club at 6pm
