MAHsquerade Gala

Join us for MAHsquerade - a FUNdraiser and celebration of art, local history, and community in Santa Cruz County. This free flowing event spotlights MAH exhibitions, programs, Evergreen Cemetery, and Davenport Jail through interactive experiences, games, and live entertainment. Get creative and come dressed to impress! You might win a prize!

6:00pm, The Fun Begins! Make your own mask. Learn about MAH programs through interactive activities. Explore MAHvelous "Buy In" Adventures!

7:00pm, Welcome plus Program featuring the MAH's outlook for 2023 and beyond.

7:30pm, "Best Mask/Ensemble" winners announced by Mayor Fred Keeley, Sonja Brunner, Anandi Heinrich, Val Miranda, and Tam Welch.

8-9pm, Live Music with New Orleans Second Line Brass Band, MJ's Brass Boppers

9-10pm, Dancing with DJ Sparkle

Exhibitions on view: Frans Lanting's Bay of Life, ReflectioNNN, Santa Cruz History Gallery, and Colaboratory.

Guests are invited to peruse and purchase unique and exciting group experiences reflective of our MAH mission/vision that feature local artists, community partners, and businesses. Funds raised enables the MAH to provide equitable access to sustainable art, Santa Cruz history, and community events. Contributions also allow us to maintain our archives/collections, develop and produce exhibitions, present inspiring and educational programs year-round, and maintain Evergreen Cemetery including Davenport Jail.
