In this workshop we will learn how to paint a Magpie in flight using just 3 colors: Ink, White with an option of Blue. Students will use a outlined draft to put under their papers to promote ease with proportion and composition.
In China, Magpies are thought to bring good fortune and are associated with happiness and loyalty since they mate for life. A member of the Corvidae family, they are widely considered to be among the world's most intelligent creatures and is one of the few non-mammal species able to recognize itself in a mirror test. Magpies have a reputation for mischievousness, trickery and constant inquisitiveness.
This step-by-step class is specifically designed for beginners and will be taught at a gentle pace with plenty of time to practice the various strokes. Space is very limited to ensure maximum personal attention.
