Magic of Electricity
Event Information
About this Event
The 4-H Electric Program is one of the exciting areas where 4-Hers are given several opportunities to learn by doing, with hands-on activities. With the current situation we have not been able to program with youth in a face to face setting. But that is not going to stop us from giving youth the opportunity to learn about the Magic of Electricity.
The N.C. Cooperative Extension - Currituck Center is hosting a series of virtual events within the electric program. There will be five different zoom meetings that youth ages 9 and up can participate in. These hands-on activities will be led by 4-H staff and 4-H members that have experience in the electric program. All supplies will be given to each participant in a drive through pick up. There is no fee involved in this program, however we have a limited amount of participants we can accommodate.
The zoom meetings will start on July 21st and continue each Tuesday and Thursday with the last meeting being held on August 6th. At the conclusion of this virtual program participants will be asked to complete a short survey. They will also have the opportunity to complete other hands on activities with materials they are given.
You can jump in at anytime therefore the registration deadline is July 31, 2020. Remember supplies are limited and available first come first serve. Activity packets may be picked up in person after completing your registration. These will be available as long as supplies last. Register through eventbrite however, your registration is not complete until 4-H online is complete. 4-H forms are found at 4-H Online Forms.
