Madison Square Park Photo Safari (photography walking tour)
Daily Event - Every 14 days: 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM (PDT)
New York, United States
Learn to take better pictures before you go on vacation or out on the town with your friends and family. On this all around Photo Safari you will learn location photography and how to take better photos of your friends while on vacation. These are the two most common scenarios people find themselves in. This workshop takes advantage the historical Madison Square Park (offering the best ground level view of the Flat Iron and Metropolitan Life buildings). You will learn some portrait composition and positioning, what lighting conditions to look for, architectural photography and scene management. This safari is appropriate for all levels of photographic knowledge from beginners to advanced hobbyists.

New York City Photo Safaris is not your regular walking tour of New York sites and landmarks. Central Park, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Brooklyn Bridge, and Times Square are the staples of a New York visit, but will your photographs do them justice? Your photographer guide will not only show you these sights, but will teach you the skills to capture them in your photographs. You can learn skills such as night photography, macro, composition, and lighting while exploring the Metropolitan Museum, Madison Square Park, the Highline, Grand Central, or Wall Street. We take small groups out with professional photographer guides. See New York through our lens and take better photos home.
