ATTENTION:  CULINARY PROFESSIONALS AND CULINARY STUDENTS

 

                         

COOKING ON THE FARM 1

Today’s food lovers want to know where their food comes from, and how it is grown. Under the guidance of Madison College Chef Paul Short, CEC, Culinary professionals and students who complete this class will answer “Foodie” questions based on their first-hand experience as to where great food begins…On the Farm.  

Our cutting-edge, two-day professional development farm-based event will focus on the harvesting, care, and preparation of locally grown and produced ingredients that will end with a sensational field-to-table experience on day 2. 

Under the guidance of Chef Paul Short, students will:

  • Learn how to plan and execute farm events that feature cooking in an outdoor environment for a large number of guests.
  • Gain the skill set needed for managing and producing a successful farm to table experience.
  • Prepare a Field to Table experience with foods grown or raised on area farms.

Each day students will concentrate on two different types of food preparation for the field to table experience.

Cost per Student: $200.00 for 2-day Event/Session

Session I
