Madison College's Flexible Learning Conference, held October 13 and 14, 2016, provides an opportunity to learn from leaders in flexible learning environments from various disciplines and with a range of experience levels. Bring your team of faculty and administrators for two days of training, networking and idea-sharing. Participants will learn about best practices for using technology with innovative teaching and support strategies. This year's theme is "Innovation and New Technology for Flexible Learning".

The keynote speaker for 2016 will be Rovy Branon, Vice Provost for Educational Outreach at University of Washington. He oversees all of the university's Professional & Continuing Education programs and staff, which serve more than 50,000 learners annually through 80 professional degrees and 160 certificates. Much of his research focuses on educational technology, and he has patented a mobile learning framework and led instructional design teams.
Dr. Branon is the former Associate Dean for Online Learning and the Executive Director of the Academic Advanced Distributed Learning Co-Lab at the University of Wisconsin-Extension in Madison. Today he serves on the national board of directors for the University Professional and Continuing Education Association and is a member of the Continuing Education Research University Deans. He has more than 20 years of instructional media and learning technology development experience in corporate, higher education and not-for-profit settings, and he often speaks at training and education conferences covering a range of topics including learning technologies, instructional design trends and building organizational effectiveness.
