We are holding a Gala at the Utah Capitol Building in April 2017 where 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to funding human trafficking prevention in Madagascar. The main prevention project will be a secondary trade school for children vulnerable to being trafficked. The land for the high school has already been donated and will be built in a village where the Madagascar Cooperative Foundation currently works with the families whose children will attend. This will be a 5-year project with the goal of sustainability being achieved by 2022. Since the closest high school currently requires a two-hour commute many wealthy families will want to send their children to the school as well. Wealthier families who pay for their children to attend will subsidize at risk children’s tuition to achieve sustainability.
