Event description

Description

Join me on Saturday 2nd December at the Emmaus Brighton Christmas Fair for a macrame workshop in the Greenhouse - the garden shop with a difference.

This class is ideal for beginners who are interested in learning the basic knots of macrame. Macrame has become a fast growing trend and in this class you will cover all to come away with your own beautiful plant hanger. Why not try a new craft to make those special festive gifts this year!

You will be encouraged to experiment with various knots to create your piece, there will also be a selection of wooden beads if you fancy adding something a bit different to your hanger.

All materials will be provided including your very own Spider plant to hang in your macrame piece once completed. Each Spider plant has been grown with love by the team at Emmaus. Classes are limited to 10 spaces so please be quick if you would like to book.

Emmaus is a charity helping people move on from homelessness by providing them with a home and meaningful work in a supportive, family environment. The Emmaus Brighton community is home to 47 people, known as companions, and each individual contributes by working to the best of their ability in one of the social enterprises or in another role within the community. The Greenhouse is a magical place which sells plants alongside second hand and handmade gardening goods, most of which are donated by members of the public.

The workshop will take place in the long room in the back of the 2nd hand superstore, next to the conservatory.
