About this Event
Real IMPACT Center, Inc. is aware of the recent concerns surrounding confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Georgia. After conversations with NCDPH and taking into consideration best practices for public health, we have decided to postpone the Macon STEM Festival at this time, which was originally scheduled for March 21. We are working through finding a new date, targeting fall of 2020.
We want to thank you for your support of this event and look forward to having you and your family attend the free Macon STEM Festival at the rescheduled date. The Macon STEM Festival is a family celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math in Macon. The inaugural festival will be a highly visible outdoor and indoor event that will provide opportunity for engagement and exchange between children, teens, families, and local STEM professionals. This exciting event will take place on March 21st, 2020 from 10:00am until 3:00pm at Central Georgia Technical College Titans Arena located at 1780 Anthony Rd in Macon. This event will feature at least 40 exhibitors who will provide hands-on activities, live STEM stage performances, interactive demonstrations, and family-oriented STEM entertainment.
What to Expect?
Food Trucks, STEM Exhibitors, Autism Friendly Zone, Live STEM Shows, Fun for the whole Family! The Macon STEM Festival hopes to attract 1,500 or more visitors and it is designed with accessibility in mind, so that all families will be able to attend and have a spectacular experience. There will be sensory-friendly classroom space for the comfort and safety of attendees with autism or on the autism spectrum.
The Macon STEM Festival is an initiative of Real IMPACT Center, Inc. and is funded in part by Community Foundation of Central Georgia. Real IMPACT is managed by Executive Director, Geneva West, and a team of community volunteers.
