Machine Project 'Snorkel Dreams' underwater gallery - Sunday 4pm entry
No need to print your confirmation, names will be held at Guest Services by the pool. You're welcome to arrive early and picnic - no pets, glass or alcohol onsite.

Snorkel Dreams: A Machine Project Guide to Art Underwater is a public art project presented by the Beach=Culture series, curated by the experimental art organization Machine Project at the Annenberg Community Beach House. The exhibition is on display Friday-Sunday, October 14-16, and is presented underwater in the historic (heated) pool. Snorkel Dreams explores the public pool as an unexpected place to engage with creative expression. Visit machineproject.com for more information.
Works on display include paintings, sculptures, ceramics, video, photography and interactive elements. Artists represented: Andrew Cannon, Jessica Cowley, Bob Dornberger, Emily Joyce, Alice Könitz, Candice Lin, Becca Lofchie, Johnston Marklee, Jennifer Moon & Laub, Paul Pescador, Jen Rochlin, Sune Woods, Kim Ye, Patricia Yossen, Mallen&Gray and Machine Project with Grace Eunchong.
How this works:
It's highly recommended that you view the exhibit from inside the pool, but you can also partially view from the pool deck. Reserve for either option.
You may make a reservation for one timeslot only, for up to two people. Duplicate entries will be deleted. Reservation holders will be permitted entry on a rolling first come, first served basis, while those without reservations may stand by until spots are available. The entire experience is estimated to take 30 minutes including entering and leaving the pool.
Visiting the exhibit and the Beach House grounds is free. Pay parking is available in the lot as available; carpooling is suggested.
Guests will be required to sign a participation waiver. Basic swimming skills are required of anyone entering the water.
Bring or wear your swimsuit and towel; changing rooms, lockers and showers available. Bring a snorkel set, facemask, or goggles if desired; limited numbers of goggles and snorkel sets will be available to borrow. No other pool toys or accoutrements are allowed, including fins or flotation devices.
Youth under age 8 years old or 4’ in height must be accompanied by an adult in the water at all times, while youth under age 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times; gallery behavior is requested. Other pool rules and details are listed here.
