When & Where
Macaya Foundation Inc
Several years ago, Macaya Foundation, Inc. was founded. Since its conception, this organization has helped families, children, and the homeless in Florida, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
For the past four years, Macaya Foundation, Inc. has collaborated with St. Bartholomew’s Church in Miramar by feeding the homeless. Through this collaboration, we have provided services geared towards helping the Haitian community with document translations and housing needs. We also provide education on how to become productive citizens of society by helping the Haitian community understand the laws of their new home, including their rights and responsibilities.
Annually, the foundation has traveled overseas to bring materials to the underprivileged in Batey Quigueya of La Romana, as well as in the Haitian cities of Gonaives, Fonds Verettes, Abricot, and Jeremie. Funds have also been raised to help with the purchase and the shipping costs of hospital beds, trash carts, school supplies, clothing and so much more.
As a non-profit 501c3 organization, Macaya Foundation, Inc. prides itself on its work within the community and looks forward to your support in our quest to continue to reach out and help others in need. Please join forces with all of the members of the Macaya Foundation to help bring to life the words of its president, Myrtho Cave-Valcin: "Listen before answering and love each other without boundaries."
