The Mabel skirt is a quick and easy knit skirt that can be made in about an hour! There is a mini-skirt version and a pencil skirt with princess seaming and a kick pleat. All three have a delightful contoured waistband that doesn’t need elastic to hold the skirt in place. The Mabel is designed for heavier knits such as double knit, rib knit, or ponte knit. If you wish to make it in a jersey fabric, you’ll learn how to line the skirt with swimsuit lining fabric.
You can practice skills such as sewing with knits, applying a contour waistband for a snug fit at the waist and how to line a knit skirt.
