Event Details

We're back! LYRIC LIVE ALLSTAR SHOW season 4 at the Black Archives Historic Lyric Theater!  South Florida's premiere monthly amateur night showcase culminates with a head to head competition to crown the season 4 winner.  You are still the judge as you decide, which past winner will claim the ultimate spot.

These finalist have all won their individual month, and now it's their stage to compete to win the AllStar Showcase.  They have to show up and show out to impress you!

Grab some friends and join our family friendly audience as you let the contestant know that they must, come correct or go home! Come get your laugh on with our comedic host, CHELLO!

It's an amatuer night finale with a Miami flavor, as our authentic junkanoo band still stand ready to usher Boo'd contestants off the Lyric stage.

With celebrity judges Show starts every First Friday at 8pm, but grab a friend and join us for a Taste of Overtown, where guests have the opportunity to park early for the show and enjoy Happy Hour at the Lyric with DJ H2, vendors and half off drinks or take a complimentary Freebee ride to a partnering restaurant for dinner before the show.  From 4pm to 8pm, the Freebee vehicles will provide hop on/hop off round trip shuttle service from the Lyric Theater to premiere soulfood restaurants on Nw 3rd Avenue.  Featuring Jackson Soulfood, House of Wings, Lil' Green House Grill, & Two Guys Restaurant.  The last returning Freebie ride runs just before showtime.

You don't want to miss Miami's Apollo styled amatuer night showcase at the oldest legitimate theater in Miami, the Black Archives Historic Lyric Theater.

Secured paid parking is provided. Tickets are non refundable. This event is sponsored by the Southeast Overtown Park West Community Redevelopment Agency, Office of City of Miami District 5 Chairman Keon Hardemon, Miami Dade County, Institute of Museums and Library Services, and the Simpkins Foundation.

The Black Archives History and Research Foundation of South Florida, Inc. was founded in 1977 by Dr. Dorothy Jenkins Fields as a non-profit organization to collect and preserve the rapidly vanishing material that reflects the African American experience in Miami-Dade County. Over the years, the collection has grown; and the Black Archives is now a national resource for this history of the 19th and 20th centuries, providing a rich repository of materials that's used by scholars, students, teachers, and the media. The Black Archives also works to preserve historical sites in the Historic District of Overtown, the city’s first Black community. Most prominent among these is the Historic Lyric Theater, which opened in 1913, and quickly became the major entertainment gathering place for Blacks in Miami, serving as a symbol of economic influence, as well as a social gathering place – free of discrimination – and a source of pride and culture. Today, it is the focus of a public-private partnership, in which the Miami-Dade government has committed $10 million for its renovation and expansion.
