With her first foray into feature filmmaking in 2006, Lynn Shelton (1965-2020) emerged as one of the most successful indie directors and one of the most sought-after TV directors in the business. Equally comfortable with drama and comedy - and the awkward spaces where they overlap - Shelton fostered an extraordinary atmosphere of collaboration in the creative process with her talented, carefully selected casts.

In June 2019, the Cinematheque hosted an in-person retrospective of Lynn Shelton's films, including what would be her final feature, SWORD OF TRUST. We now highlight her diverse television work, which includes episodes of:
