Lymph Talks

Lymph Talks

By Jessica Hume

Overview

Learn about the lymphatic system, MLD, and home care for lymph health. Q&A included. Donations support the BC Lymphedema Association.

Welcome to Lymph Talks!

Join me for an educational and interactive evening focused on understanding the body’s most overlooked system, the lymphatic system.

During Lymph Talks, we explore the basic anatomy and function of the lymphatic system, how it supports immune health, and what happens when it becomes sluggish or impaired. I then introduce Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), explaining what it is, who can benefit from it, and how it is used in massage therapy to support recovery, reduce swelling, and promote overall wellbeing.

We will also go through simple home care exercises designed to encourage lymph flow and support daily lymphatic health. The session concludes with a Q&A where you can ask questions about lymphatic care, self-treatment, and clinical applications.

All donations from this event go directly to the BC Lymphedema Association (BCLA) to help raise awareness and support individuals living with lymphedema and lipedema across British Columbia.

Lymph Talks is a welcoming, community-based learning space for anyone interested in lymphatic health, from clients and practitioners to anyone wanting to better understand the body’s natural rhythm of healing and flow.
