Ever wonder why some promising TV shows get cancelled, why public radio is perceived as liberal, or why online video is still making “digital dimes?”  Do you find yourself watching TV with a iPhone in your hand and a laptop by your side? Are you thinking about how you might use online video as a calling card to a TV series or a feature film? Media research veteran Kerry Edelstein works with some of the biggest companies in entertainment to answer these questions and understand what emerging trends in media consumption mean for the future of the entertainment business. Kerry will tell us where she sees our industry making the best decisions, as well as the biggest mistakes, and help us understand how we as media professionals can navigate this ever-evolving landscape ourselves.

Kerry's professional career includes 15 years of audience research and consulting for organizations in the media, entertainment, digital, and non-profit sectors. She owns and operates the research consulting practice Research Narrative and has been a featured speaker at OMMA Video and public radio’s PRPD conference. She has collaborated with renowned media brands such as MTV Networks, ABC, Disney, Warner Bros., Discovery, Lifetime, NPR, New York Public Radio, and NBC Olympics to develop compelling content, launch cross-platform media strategies, and build leading brand portfolios.

Ladies Who Brunch is an entertainment industry networking group for women based in Los Angeles. The group provides a forum for upwardly mobile professionals to expand their network, build their businesses and foster friendships. More information is at www.ladieswhobrunch.com.

If you haven't been to a brunch before, they are very informal and everyone is friendly. We usually have about 30-40 people, so it's easy to meet everyone. Come meet women in the LA entertainment industry and have $5 mimosas with us. You are welcome to bring potential members.
