About the Lehigh Valley Freight Advisory Committee

The Lehigh Valley Transportation Study has established a Lehigh Valley Freight Advisory Committee (LVFAC) to provide advice, support and collaborate on goods movement issues, studies and projects, as well as, the development of a functional and efficient freight system in and around the Lehigh Valley.

As freight traffic and tonnage is anticipated to double in the next several decades the need to coordinate with experts on a variety of issues from freight corridor designation to adequate truck services and from traffic congestion mitigation to prioritization of public investment in freight infrastructure. This Freight Advisory Committee is charged with advising the Lehigh Valley Transportation Study and Lehigh Valley Planning Commission on these and other related issues.
