Luz de Navidad: Music of Spain and the Americas BENEFIT CONCERT
Overview
Through soaring voices, period instruments, and evocative storytelling, this program reimagines Mary and Joseph’s search for refuge as a timeless reflection of today’s migrants traveling al norte led by hope.
At this concert, we are partnering with Nourish Up and Our Bridge for Kids to collect food and toys to support our immigrant friends and neighbors.
Nourish Up:
- Canned Meat – tuna, chicken, salmon
- Canned Fruit – no sugar added or in juice
- Canned Vegetables – no salt added or low sodium
- Pasta – canned or dry boxed
- Cereal – whole grain
We cannot accept food items that are unsealed, expired, loose without listed ingredients, unlabeled, or in glass containers. Please donate with care: our neighbors deserve the same quality food you’d serve at your own table rather than unwanted pantry clean-outs.
Our Bridge for Kids:
- Teddy bears
- Board Games
- Dolls and action figures
- Building blocks
- Art supplies
- Sports equipment
Please Avoid:
- Battery-operated toys
- Damaged items
Festive, sacred, and secular works come to life in a performance that bridges cultures, centuries, and our shared human longing. Join singers Nick Garza and Andrea Walker, with an ensemble of early instruments, for a radiant holiday concert that celebrates both cultural roots and the universal search for home.
Festivities begin at 5:30 with a complimentary pre-concert Happy Hour followed by the concert. The music will last about 75min with no intermission, and will conclude with more drinks and snacks on us, plus a chance to meet and mingle with the artists.
