From his early releases as Lusine onward, Jeff McIlwain’s electronic explorations make up one of the more diverse discographies of the past decade and a half.

Effortlessly blurring the lines between techno, electro-pop and experimental composition, the Texas-raised/Seattle-based producer’s arrangements are meticulously constructed, but also filled with emotion and soul. Following 2017 full-length Sensorimotor, which explored the body’s instinct versus the brain’s intent, the new introverted 4-tracker, Retrace, finds McIlwain just as kinetically-curious. Balancing focused programming with washy, less concrete sonics, Retrace plays with the unexpected by drawing from slight variations on the same idea.

As Lusine, McIlwain has performed throughout the US and abroad, including sets at London's esteemed Fabric nightclub, Tokyo's Unit, Berlin's Watergate, and Melbourne's Electric Owl. Recent tour dates include appearances with electronic luminaries like The Field, Tipper and Blockhead, as well as playing at various events with a live drummer (Trent Moorman).

In addition to his Lusine productions, McIlwain has been involved with various film projects that include The Sitter (Jonah Hill, 2011) and two David Gordon Green movies, Snow Angels (featuring Kate Beckinsale and Sam Rockwell, 2007) and Joe (Nicolas Cage, Tye Sheridan, 2013) with music writing partner David Wingo. McIlwain most recently collaborated with Wingo on the film score for Meredith Danluck's State Like Sleep (2018).

Logan Takahashi returns to Ghostly with Crema, an eight-track journey traversing dub-techno, earthly electronics, and meticulously crafted melodies. Crema wriggles, bounces, and stretches its way through the senses. The EP's tactile exploration of rhythm and timbre is testament to Takahashi's instinctual approach.

Like many classically trained musicians, Logan Takahashi didn't take the techniques he learned at Oberlin Conservatory as gospel. He bent them until they broke, then reshaped all those errant rhythms, melodies, and timbres into an entirely new language while developing widescreen dance tracks in the Brooklyn duo Teengirl Fantasy. Over the past seven years, Takahashi and his former college-mate/fellow producer (Nick Weiss) have released acclaimed records on such respected labels as True Panther Sounds and R&S, collaborated with Kelela, Laurel Halo, and Panda Bear, and scored a Blade Runner-inspired Fashion Week collection for Opening Ceremony.

ANIMAL FEELINGS is New York-based artist Oli Chang’s latest musical experiment. Highly collaborative in spirit, the music evokes an immersive soundscape with a set list that ranges from the modern classical piano works of Nils Frahm to the elegant electronica of Fourtet. This is music you want for rainy days and holidays: emotionally resonant melodies with richly textured harmonic shapes and rhythms that will invariably turn your life into a gorgeous film. As a gifted lyricist and producer attuned to the zeitgeist, Chang’s ANIMAL FEELINGS deftly switches gears, going from sprawling ambient songs to dark electronic pop gems. More recently after reconnecting with his childhood home of Bali Chang has been experimenting with live exotic percussion ensembles. His live show explores this world in the context of the exotic house genre. He will continue to perform these shows around the world in 2019.

Oli Chang is most known for the celebrated ambient dream-pop of High Highs, a long-running collaboration with Jack Milas. His last electronic music project was called Theatre Of Disco, which was one of Australian label Future Classic's first signings. Chang was drawn back to dance music whilst writing High Highs second album. During this time he also started "LOVELESS NIGHTS," a cult, wildly diverse party held with at Pony Boy in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. this night also serves as a testing ground and incubator for ANIMAL FEELINGS.
