Event description
A repeat of our very popular Lunchtime Seminar from April by Sheina Rigg (Safeguarding Board NI)

About this Event

This seminar will look at what ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) are and what their potential impact is upon behaviour and health in children and adults. Mitigating factors and preventative measures will be explored and we will discuss what trauma informed practice might look like in our organisation.

Key areas covered in this seminar will include:

  • The potential impact of ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and trauma on child development, behaviour and long term outcomes for adults.
  • Being trauma informed and using a trauma ‘lens’ in our work.
  • Resilience factors.
  • Considering support, self-care and resilience as workers.
