Luncheon Honoring Congresswoman Capps
Please join the CCFC for a luncheon recognizing Congresswoman Lois Capps for her notable efforts on behalf of California’s flower farmers on Saturday, December 10 at the Hyatt Centric Santa Barbara.
A founding member of the Congressional Cut Flower Caucus, Capps has served as a co-chair of the caucus since its inception in 2014. In 2015, Capps announced she would not seek re-election and would retire from Congress at the end of 2016.
In recognition of her long history of working with the CCFC and California’s flower farms, the Commission will present Congresswoman Capps with an award recognizing her support for flower farmers in Congress.
The CCFC will also recognize commissioners Chad Nelson of Eufloria Flowers and Michael A. Mellano of Mellano & Co. for their leadership. Nelson and Mellano have both served as commissioners of their districts for the past nine years, as committee chairs and as chairs of the CCFC board.
The event will include the announcement of the new CCFC Board of Commissioners and the appointment of officers for 2017.
Special pricing is available for companies purchasing eight-person tables. If you have any questions, please contact Andrea Philpot at firstname.lastname@example.org.
