Activism & Restraint with Zohar Segev of the University of Haifa

Thursday, December 14th starting at 11:45am

Please join us as we welcome Professor Zohar Segev of the University of Haifa who recently authored a book on how the World Jewish Congress confronted the challenges of the Shoah. Professor Segev will be visiting Chicago and our Club, along with a representative from the World Jewish Congress, to mark the 80th anniversary
of the Kristallnacht Pogrom and discuss how members of The Standard Club played a key role in leading organizations that were addressing this epochal threat to Jewish existence.
This unique lunch and learn interview and discussion will shed light on the notable local connections and ties the Chicago Jewish community had to this horrific time in world history.
