nid%3D3347%7Ctitle%3D%7Cdesc%3D%7Clink%3DnoneDaniel Platt is a historian of the modern United States, with interests in political economy, legal history, and cultural and intellectual history. His scholarship considers how changing understandings of selfhood, the market, and natural difference influenced the legal architecture of credit relations between the Civil War and the Great Depression. His dissertation is entitled, “Law, Race, and the Problem of Finance from the Age of Emancipation to the Keynesian Turn.” For more on his research and teaching, please visit http://www.daniel-platt.com.
