Event description

How Will 5G Disrupt Innovation and Amplify Insider Threats? Let’s Discuss.

Take a break from the RSA conference hustle and join us for lunch and a disruptive discussion on 5G innovations it will spark and threats it will amplify.

By 2025, 190 million US consumers will be connected to 5G networks, the fastest migration rate globally. With speeds and bandwidth of up to 1000x today’s 4G networks, 5G will create opportunities for innovation in IoT, autonomous vehicles, geospatial tech, smart cities, and virtual realities. Corporate 5G network boundaries will expand even farther and the volume of proprietary data transported on these networks will increase.

This amplification of data and accelerated speeds will work in favor of threat actors. Malicious activity will be faster and can exfiltrate proprietary information more quickly in the 5G arena. Corporations will need to rethink defenses beyond the network to get in front of attacks through prevention and preemptive detection of external and internal threat actors.

Our moderated panel of distinguished guests will discuss:

  • How 5G will impact the Global Economy and National Security

  • What you should be considering now and how you can prepare

  • Why knowing who is in your network and accessing your data is vital

  • Which insider threat-related security trends and emerging capabilities to track (behavioral analytics, protection of privacy and civil liberties, and more)

We will also include comments from Paul R. Gupta at the global law firm Reed Smith LLP about managing 5G liability.
