Join us and learn about the past, present and future of specialty coffee, led by Prof. Peter Roberts and GFE farmer alum Margarita Alvarez

About this Event

On October 8th, Margarita Alvarez, a Grounds for Empowerment Business Tools Workshop alum from Guatemala, will be visiting Emory with two of her peers to discuss the intersection between specialty coffee and sustainable business.

Professor Peter Roberts will be leading the Lunch & Learn discussions with a brief intro to specialty coffee, a discussion about Grounds for Empowerment's work at coffee origin, and ways that Emory students can get involved including:

  • 2020 Spring Course with Prof. Roberts that explores the impacts that global perspectives on business and markets have on the coffee industry sector
  • 2020 Spring Directed Study with Prof. Roberts and Grounds for Empowerment with a workshop facilitation experience in El Salvador
