Lunch & Learn: Ready, Steady, Go! - Forth Valley Career Ready Programme
Mon, April 24, 2017, 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM BST
Want to help the career readiness of young people still at school in the Forth Valley area?
Come along to the Stirling University Innovation Park to hear from the charity Career Ready to see how this can happen! Career Ready Director for Scotland Anne Wexelstein and Forth Valley and Fife Manager Anthea Brough will talk about the growing work and impact of Career Ready, and the potential benefits for you as an employer if you choose to become one of their supporters.
Career Ready is growing from strength to strength in Scotland. From 56 young people taking part in the programme in 2011, the number involved has risen to over 1000, in part due to the tremendous employer support provided by organisations all across Scotland. With eight new schools starting the programme this autumn there will be 70 young people taking part, all of whom require a mentor and internship.
As an employer you will get the opportunity to work with these young people to help develop their skills, as well as providing a brilliant development opportunity for your staff who take part as mentors or internship supervisors.
