Lunch & Learn: Lighting Controls and Changes to Title 24

Cori Jackson, Program Director at the California Lighting Technology Center at UC Davis, will present an information session on the major lighting and lighting controls updates to the code as well as best practice advice for projects that do not require a permit.
In this session, Ms. Jackson will present an overview of the Title 24 updates as they pertain to commercial office and industrial facilities with a special focus on controls.
Case studies and practical examples of the implementation of the strategies discussed will support the presentation.
CLTC's mission is to stimulate, facilitate, and accelerate the development and commercialization of energy-efficient lighting and daylighting technologies. CLTC accomplishes these goals through technology development, demonstrations, and outreach and education activities in partnership with utilities, lighting manufacturers, end users, builders, designers, researchers, academics, and government agencies.
About the Presenter: Cori Jackson, Program Director at UC Davis, is responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling and monitoring CLTC research projects. Cori graduated from UC Davis with degrees in Optical Engineering and Mathematics. She has a background in construction management and finance. For several years, Cori managed the Demonstrations program for CLTC and facilitated the installation of leading edge lighting technologies in more than 100 sites throughout California and in other areas of the US.
