Are you a business currently looking at leasing office space or would like to in the future? Do you have questions about the leasing process and what factors you should be considering?

Come and learn about the aspects of leasing commercial office space from both a broker and commercial landlord perspective at this 1.5 hour Lunch & Learn session. In this session, 3 seasoned real estate experts will be breaking down a lease as well as discussing factors and other considerations to be aware of when leasing office space.

This Lunch & Learn is ideal for soon-to-be business owners, and current business owners looking for a new space or to ensure they're getting the best deal on their current location.

Emily is Associate Corporate Counsel at the Minneapolis Grain Exchange, Inc. a commercial landlord and commodity derivatives market based in downtown Minneapolis. Emily works to negotiate mutually beneficial deals and guides prospective tenants through the entire leasing process. Emily brings experience in complex design-builds as well as projects involving historic restoration. She enjoys working with companies and non-profits of all sizes to find leasing solutions that meet their needs. Emily has a J.D. from Hamline University School of Law and a B.A. in History with a minor in Philosophy from St. Catherine University.

Elizabeth Schenfisch, Assistant Corporate Cousel at Minneapolis Grain Exchange

Elizabeth is an attorney at the Minneapolis Grain Exchange, Inc. where commercial real estate is a large part of her practice. Elizabeth enjoys working with prospective tenants to find them the best office space for their needs. She takes pride in working with tenants for the entire life cycle of their lease starting from the initial tour of the Grain Exchange Campus to the move-in process and beyond. Elizabeth’s educational background includes a J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies from North Dakota State University.

Having gained a clear understanding of the motivations and requirements of key stakeholders behind deal structure including tenants, corporate users/owners, landlords, legal, finance and outsource provider partners, my focus is on learning more about specific clients to help them reach their overall goals."

Ericka came to Kimble Consulting from her position as Senior Managing Director with Savills Studley Occupier Services. Prior to that she spent five years with Johnson Controls Global Workplace Solutions. At both companies, she led teams in growing existing business, was brought in for real estate portfolio account management work and pursued new work with national and global corporate clients. Her career path also includes time at Ameriprise Financial where she oversaw real estate services for over 100 corporate-owned, regional advisor offices while working through a year-long merger that doubled the portfolio, and five years with Opus Northwest specializing in office and condominium development totaling over $300M.
