Biopharmaceutical companies face growing reimbursement challenges as markets become more competitive, as pressures for cost containment increase, and as payers’ review of both clinical and economic evidence intensifies. Evidence required for regulatory approval is unlikely to address payers’ expectations for evidence of value, placing greater emphasis on planning and design of studies demonstrating value to payers supported by clinical and economic evidence for therapeutics, and, in addition, clinical utility for diagnostics and medical devices.

This program is designed to provide life sciences company professionals with practical insights on evidence generation strategy to support reimbursement, including approaches for determining study design requirements and endpoints for clinical trials and real-world studies. Participants will come away from the discussion with an enhanced readiness to:

  • Develop clinical trial and real-world study designs that will demonstrate value to payers
  • Prioritize endpoint selection based on payers’ expectations for evidence of value
  • Facilitate internal dialogue on early commercial strategy with case study examples of successful market access outcomes that were supported by specific evidence development and study design decisions
