Event description
Join us for our next Lunch & Learn program!

About this Event

We are inviting local entrepreneurs and thought leaders to broaden our knowledge on an array of topics through lunch programs rich with conversation and networking. This time, our entrepreneurial speaker is Susan E. Cromer, the founder and owner of the LilyHemp Artisanal Gourmet, which is showcased in Innovation Mill in Vinton, Virginia. LilyHemp is the first company to earn Virginia’s Finest designation for hemp foods as well as the first to market patent-pending CBD products from seed to sale in the state.

Learn:

Prohibition of Industrial Hemp officially ended on December 20, 2018, with the signing of the Farm Bill Act of 2018. “This is truly an exciting time in our country as this plant not only offers a potential cash crop to our farmers, but also can benefit our economy, our health and our environment,” says Susan. “Learn the scientific reason why hemp-derived CBD and food products are essential to our well-being (Hint: it wasn’t discovered until the 1990s) and discover the health benefits of hemp hearts and other hemp foods!”

The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research is pleased to sponsor this free event. Advance registration is required and seating is limited. A complimentary lunch will be provided.
