Event description

Description

Austin Community College Bioscience Incubator, in collaboration with IntegReview IRB, invites you to attend a Lunch and Learn Workshop, "Research Ethics for Human Subjects" on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM (CDT) at the ACC Highland Campus.

Many researchers and startups are not aware of the regulations that govern research on humans. Do you plan to collect data on your product or conduct a research trial? Why does an IRB (ethical review board) need to review your research before you can start?

This is an interactive workshop to discuss the research process and basic steps. Form idea conception to writing a protocol or informed consent - to IRB review - to conducting the study and collecting data and the potential to publish/submit for market approval. Come learn what is considered a research project and what regulations, guidances and good practices you should follow. Space is limited, so RSVP now to ensure a seat.

Tours of ACC's Bioscience Incubator will follow the workshop.
