New York City’s culinary landmark has been changing the face of American dining for decades by sharing its recipes, stories and pioneering philosophy. The Gramercy Tavern Cookbook by Chef Michael Anthony captures the restaurant’s magic - and its sense of community and generosity - for everyone to bring home and savor. The cookbook gives an insider look into the restaurant’s evolution and timeless appeal, from the artists who have shaped its décor and ambience, to the staff members who share what it is like to be part of this close-knit restaurant family. The Gramercy Tavern Cookbook will inspire food lovers everywhere to make memorable meals and bring the warmth of Gramercy into their homes.
 

In 2006 Michael Anthony joined the team at Gramercy Tavern. After taking over the role of executive chef, Chef Michael Anthony has continued to bring in rave reviews for the restaurant. In 2012 he won the James Beard Award for Best Chef in New York City.
 

Chef Anthony will be interviewed by ABC 7’s Steve Dolinsky.   Steve is the Food Reporter for ABC 7 in where he reports each week, under the moniker of “The Hungry Hound.” Steve writes for Michigan Ave. Magazine and has appeared as an occasional judge or contributor on “Iron Chef America” and “Unique Eats,” and serves as one of the Academy Judges for “The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.” Steve has garnered 12 James Beard Awards for his TV and radio work over the past decade: six for best local TV cooking show in the nation, one for best TV food segment, local or national; two for best radio segment on food: long form and three for best radio segment: short format.
