ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Vee Cristobal, CPA, CGMA
Ms. Vee Cristobal is the Founder and CEO of Cristobal and Associates for more than 15 years. With a team of eight accountants, consultants and tax experts, the firm's expertise includes tax preparation and business management for corporations, partnerships, small to medium businesses, not-for-profit, and high net worth individuals. The firm also prepare gift and trust income tax returns. The firm also represents clients in IRS audits, HUD and CHFA audits, CIRA (Homeowners Association) and not-forprofit audits.
Ms. Vee has extensive knowledge in trust and fiduciary accounting. She is the chairperson of the Accounting Principles and Assurance Services of the California Society of CPAS, LA Chapter. She has various experiences in GAAP accounting for variety of industries including, food manufacturing, import/export, wholesale and retail, home care, medical, real estate, rental properties, property management, legal and professional firms and not-for-profit organizations.
She holds a position as a professor at the California Trinity University, where she teaches, mentors and inspires MBA candidates to succeed with classes in Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Operations Management, Management Information Systems, and International Financial Management.
She also holds leadership positions in numerous accounting organizations, including the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, from whom she received the “2004 Special Recognition Award,” which is given to those members who were nominated by their peers for their achievements and dedication to the organization. She was also awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award of National Council of Philippine American Canadian Accountants (NCPACA), and is currently an active member of Council of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). AICPA has over 412,000 members in 144 countries. She was chosen by AICPA as one of CPAs of Color in celebrating 40th Anniversary of AICPA Minority Initiatives Committee (MIC) in 2009. She was also awarded as the 2016 Most Outstanding Alumni of PUP Alumni Association Inc., USA, where she took her undergraduate and graduate studies.
As a humanitarian, Ms. Vee is very generous with her time, and is active and donates to many charities. She volunteers teaching high school and college students about financial literacy, and has been collecting and sending books to the Philippines for years. With more than 10,000 books given to date, she is on track to achieving one of her greatest life goals, which is to build a public library in the Philippines.
