Insider's Guide to Freelance Consulting: Build, Manage and Grow.
This Lunch and Learn is a practical guide for anyone who would like to start consulting but is struggling to find the framework for getting started. We’ll talk about how to position yourself in the market, which clients to target, how to grow your practice in a sustainable way and the importance of managing expectations at each step. I’ll be using examples from my experiences (and mistakes!) in building my consulting practice and encourage you to bring any questions and war stories of your own.

Jill Cartwright is a consumer goods and services expert with more than 15 years of experience in financial services, retail and manufacturing. In 2007, Jill founded Go GaGa, a company that creates ergonomically safe and stylish products for parents, such as diaper bags and travel accessories. After spending 5 years immersed in building the business to a global brand, Jill embarked on a consulting career as a means of transitioning to her next career. She made countless mistakes in pricing, structuring projects and scope creep along the way and she’s hoping to spare you that same fate.
Jill speaks on a number of topics in the Boston area, including lecturing on entrepreneurship at Babson College and teaching customer segmentation at Intelligent.ly.
