LUNAFEST : Presented by Girls on the Run and The fitCene

LUNAFEST is a traveling collection of 9 award-winning films created by, for and about women. These thought-provoking short stories will inspire you, make you laugh, cry and motivate you to make a difference in your community. Please join us for 90 minutes of exceptional story-telling through the art of film.
Films are not formally rated, however, some content is not appropriate for children. We recommend viewers be high school age (accompanied by an adult) or older. A description of the films and short trailer can be found here.
Net proceeds from the evening fundraiser will benefit the Breast Cancer Fund (15%) and Girls on the Run of Montgomery County (85%). Funds raised on behalf of GOTR will be used to expand the program into more Title 1 Schools, offering free or a reduced rate to any girl who wishes to participate in this transformational program. Every girl should know what it feels like to cross a finish line.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Free parking at Suburban Hospital after 5pm. Street parking available after 5pm. Additional over flow parking at the Womens Club of Bethesda (map) and at Bethesda United Methodist Church (Georgetown parking only. See Map for location)

Girls on the Run offers a transformational after-school program for girls in grades 3-8. Our curriculum promotes healthy habits and lifelong fitness and wellness. GOTR offers free or reduced scholarships to any girl who wants to particpate regardless of her socio-economic background.
