About this Event

In partnership with Spice Kitchen Incubator, learn how to make Lumpia, a Filipino eggroll with ground pork rib, from Chef Jondel of Kuya Del.

Chef Jondel moved to Utah when he was 15 years old after living in California, Guam, and the Philippines. He is excited to be a part of the culinary scene in Utah and share his food with the community. He learned to cook while being a server in a restaurant as well as through YouTube and cookbooks. He began culinary training when he was 21. His menu offers a variety of cuisines from Asia, the Pacific Islands, and Mexico.

Spice Kitchen Incubator is a project of the International Rescue Committee (IRC), and was founded in partnership with Salt Lake County. It is a business incubator that brings together refugees and other disadvantaged community members interested in starting a full or part-time food business. Spice Kitchen Incubator ensures participants receive technical assistance and training, have affordable access to commercial kitchen space and learn the steps to establishing a successful food business.

This workshop will be held in the vacant storefront outside the Main Library, next to the Community Writing Center and KCPW--just look for the signs!
