Welcome to the Lumina Ecstatic Dance Event! This is a 3 Hour Meditation and Ecstatic Dance Event hosted by DJ Steenz and Praxis in a beautiful, spacious dance studio in Vancouver, BC. This is a sober, silent, no-filming event for guests 18+.

As we move out of the alchemy of Scorpio month, Sagittarius month invites us to step into the light! ✨️🏹

Where: A dance studio in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver, BC: 341 E Broadway, Vancouver

When: Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025 from 6:45 to 10pm.

What: This is an ecstatic dance party for anyone who loves to dance in a relaxed environment of free self-expression. Whether you want to get wild or stretch out and soak in the vibes, you are safe here to be you. Before the dancing begins, you will be seated to enjoy a half hour guided vipassana meditation. This type of meditation is safe for everyone to enjoy and is designed to help you relax, become present, and let go of stress. It is comprised of sitting, breathing, sending awareness into the body, and is suitable for all levels of meditators. You will be guided through the entire evening, so all you need to do is show up with an open heart.

Schedule:
6:45-7:00 - Guests arrive and settle in for the Meditation. (Bring a cushion and a water bottle.) This is a no shoes studio, so please remove your shoes as you arrive.
7:00-7:30 - Sacred Space Opening Invocation, Intention Setting, Guided Meditation with DJ Steenz.
7:30-8:30 - 8:30 - Spiritual Bass DJ Set from DJ Steenz.
8:30-9:45 - Downtempo, Psydub, Progressive Psytrance DJ Set from Praxis to guide guests through all 7 chakras.
9:45-10:00 - Group Integration, open sharing, group photos.

This event will be 100% sober event, 18+. This will also be a silent event, which means no talking or filming during the meditation and dancing. During the dancing portion of the evening, you are free to move as you please and make noises, of course! We will gather for the last 15 minutes to share experiences and take photos. You are not required to speak or be in photos, only if you choose to be. There will also be an altar space set up where you can relax. This experience is designed to help you become fully present so you can allow the healing forces of the universe flow through you.

Ecstatic dance is a moving meditation which harmonizes the mind, body, and soul and activates the light body. Dancing helps us move into the flow state and unites us as one. Together, we will dance our way into freedom, joy, abundance, and truth!

For the meditation portion of the evening, you will be sitting.

DJ Steenz (Christina Martine) is an electronic music producer, singer, DJ, and songwriter from Vancouver, BC. She is also a Spiritual Teacher, Astrologer, and Ordained Priestess with over a decade of experience, trained in many energy healing arts and occult traditions. She is the Author of the popular book, Fifth Dimensional Healing, and has served thousands through her communities, courses, sessions, and transmissions. Praxis is a rave anthropologist, career counsellor, and a DJ who has been dancing his smiling way through BC's rave subculture since the 90s. After taking an ecstatic dance workshop series in 2008, dancing became more than just partying for Praxis. It became a secular spiritual practice, like a form of moving meditation. After a brush with deafness and death in 2020, Praxis persevered through a long recovery and launched a new chapter in his DJ career. He volunteers as a sound tech and altar creator for the 5Rhythms and Just Dance ecstatic dance events. By having a frequent dance practice of somatic embodiment, Praxis' healing and spiritual growth have accelerated, and now he wants to share the insights with the community. The intention of a Praxis sonic journey is to empower people to get into a flow state, activating their energy and feeling alignment in heart, mind, body and soul. The higher vision is the reunion of the Divine Masculine and Feminine energies, both within ourselves and across the gender gap. Ecstatic dance is a joyful way to unite all the energetic elements, as we flow in the present moment together.

Set Description: This set will be like an ocean wave cresting, building momentum as we journey through the seven chakras. The chakra system is a map of energy centres in the body which can be accessed for healing, releasing blockages and exchanging energy with others. Our journey begins with downtempo music in the foundational root chakra, in the feet and legs. The music will build in momentum up to the creative sacral chakra, between the navel and public bone. Next, we rise to the solar plexus chakra in the abdomen, the energetic powerhouse where source and willpower converge. The music will continue increasing in tempo as we enter the emotional depths of the heart chakra, shining our inner light. Momentum increases as we rise to the throat chakra, making sounds to release any blockages to our voice. The ecstatic wave will crest in the third eye chakra, activating higher awareness and inner vision as the high-tempo music accelerates our pace. The ocean wave will ebb as we flow into the crown chakra at the top of the head, connecting to source energy and our collective unity. The set will feature nature sounds representing the four elements, along with vocal samples of wisdom about the Divine Feminine and Masculine. It will also incorporate chakra tuning forks, helping us align to the different energetic frequencies. Plus, the beats will be energizing and uplifting, lots of fun to dance to. Enjoy the ride.
