Event description

Description

After 100 years, Emilia Lemucchi's orginial Bolognese pasta sauce recipe is still in use at Luigi's Restaurant and Delicatessen.

Luigi's is one of Bakersfield's most beloved eateries. Founded by Joe and Emilia Lemucchi in the early 1900s as Curley's Cafe, the tradition of good eats and good company has been carried on from generation to generation. Joe and Emilia's grandson, Timothy Lemucchi, will present his family's story and the cultural impact Luigi's has played in the Bakersfield community.

Admission is $10 at the door; FREE for Kern County Museum members.
