Lubrizol SWE Luncheon
The Society of Women Engineers section at Case Western Reserve University is hosting our annual luncheon during Engineers Week. This year, we are bringing in the distinguished Lauren Smith, who graduated from CWRU with an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, B.S. degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, and a minor in Political Science. She is now a Program Manager in the Advanced Design group of NG Next – the branch of Northrop Grumman tasked with solving the customer’s hardest problems and pursuing technologies that are often riskier, less well defined or nonexistent. In this role, she leads rapid design, build, and flight of new systems.
Lauren will speak to students and alumni about her background, education at CWRU, and how her job relates to her education. She will also speak about the challenges she's encountered working in the STEM field as a woman, and how she has overcome them.
The event will take place in the Thwing Ballroom. Registration is free, but donations are welcome!
Dress is business casual. For any food concerns, please contact Sara Ahmad at email@example.com
