Hook & Ladder Theater and Minnesota Music Coalition come together to feature amazing Minnesota talent across a variety of genres. Join us monthly (Every 4th Thursday) to catch some of your favorites as well as some musicians you may not have seen yet!
Lt. Sunnie is a dynamic multi-disciplinary artist out of the heart of Minneapolis, Minnesota! Through her passion of rap, singing, and dance - Sunnie creates art for all people to pull inspiration and light from.
She has graced audiences at venues such as First Avenue Mainroom, Soundset Music Festival, Pourhouse, Icehouse, Hennepin Theatre Trust, The Cowles Center for Dance and many more! Sunnie is also the host of “The Sex Talk Podcast By. Lt. Sunnie”. An analytical research based podcast centering Big Body, Queer, black, fem folks - cultivating quality conversation to normalize communication about sex, sexuality, and sensuality.
With an inspirational, uplifting, and bold expression, Lt. Sunnie brings light to the importance of freedom, identity, and individuality. She is ready to shine with you.
Mpls Drew is an act you DON'T want to miss. Whether it’s the electrifying energy, or call and response songs that get the crowd going, or the deep and conscious lyrics, he is sure to keep the people engaged and intrigued. Everytime you get to witness him rock a stage, it’s as if you’re seeing him for the first time.
You may have heard him on the radio, or seen him at First Avenue, or maybe even at Soundset or the MN state fair. Drew is for the community. He’s done a handful of benefit shows, even clothing drives. Anywhere he shows up, #TeamDrew is sure to be there supporting him.
Highly rhythmic tapestries of sounds and cutting-edge live experiences soothe the soul and spark the imagination. With GrayBeat, Robin Sedivy (SED-ih-vee) channels his drumming & vocal background in Rock, Jazz, Reggae and West African music into a contemporary electronic dance & hip-hop motif. Critics have dubbed this unique sound as a mashup of Aphex Twin & James Blake.
=====
