Now, nearly 50 years after it began, the rich dataset is illuminating some fascinating results. Director of the Biomedical Imaging Center at LSU’s Pennington Biomedical Research Center Owen Carmichael will share how our health in childhood can influence our health in middle age, especially when it comes to our brains.

Owen Carmichael is an associate professor and the director of the Biomedical Imaging Center at LSU’s Pennington Biomedical Research Center, where he develops non-invasive biomedical imaging methods in order to characterize structural and metabolic properties of the brain, abdominal organs, fat, and skeletal muscle.
