Description

As part of the LSU Undergraduate Research Week activities, LSU Libraries Special Collections is offering behind-the-scenes tours of Hill Memorial Library. The library is most prominently known for its vast accumulation of materials documenting the history and culture of Louisiana and the Lower Mississippi Valley, including over 50,000 printed materials and 10 million manuscript items. Each tour will highlight a variety of unique and rare materials, as well as demonstrate the work currently underway by Special Collections staff to preserve the collections, add to them, and make them available for use.

Guided tours will begin in the lobby of Hill Memorial Library and will last approximately 30 minutes. Dates and times are Monday, April 8 at 10 AM, Thursday, April 11 at 2 PM, and Monday, April 22 at 11 AM. Tours are limited to 12 attendees.
