Event description

Description

Launchpad2X is excited to present information from successful product developers and manufacturing resource experts at our April Workshop. The speakers will share their experience on what to do and what not to do when developing and introducing a new product into the market. Product design, prototyping, sourcing materials, and US vs overseas manufacturing will be covered during the discussion. Please join us for this informative event at Morris, Manning and Martin and learn how to best get your new product to market.

Speakers:

Renee Sandler, Entrepreneur, LP2X Alum, CEO of Blamtastic - Frustrated with the small numbers of women in lead executive and board positions in the corporate landscape Renee challenged her daughters at the ages of 9 and 10 to start a business of their own. BLAMtastic® started in the Sandler kitchen and is now a multi-million dollar consumer products brand with accounts in the largest retailers in the world. Renee is recognized nationally for her ongoing efforts in advancing entrepreneurial education for women and young entrepreneurs.

Debora Carrier, CEO of Twice As Nice Uniforms - In 2014 Debora developed and patented temperature regulating, moisture wicking, antimicrobial uniforms and founded Twice as Nice Uniforms. In addition to her many years working as a dental hygienist she was also a high fashion model. She took her experience and love of fashion to NYC where she worked with and learned from industry experts about fabrics, fit, and manufacturing before setting out to create a new stylish, technologically advanced approach to medical and dental apparel that is safe, professional, and comfortable.

John Morehouse, Director of the GA Center of Innovation for Manufacturing - The Georgia Center of Innovation for Manufacturing is an excellent resource for providing information on the manufacturing design process, local manufacturers, engineers and suppliers. In addition to his years furthering manufacturing higher education in Georgia, John spent nearly a decade in private-sector manufacturing. As a manufacturing engineer for Lutron Electronics and Lutron S.M., Mr. Morehouse led projects that resulted in reductions in manufacturing defects and customer returns, and tens of thousands of dollars in cost savings.
