Loza is an annual charity event hosted in Texas. Each year we select a local non-profit that aligns with our mission to inspire personal growth and community integration.
For Loza 2016, we are partnering with Equality Texas (EQTX), a local non-profit who works to secure full equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Texans through political action, education, community organizing, and collaboration. We hope to not only raise funds, but also raise awareness of the social inequalities still prevalent in the LGBT community. Understanding that while the LGBT community has made great progress over the past decade, including marriage equality, there are still social inequalities faced by the LGBT community. One very such inequality is that in the state of Texas it is completely legal to terminate an employee due to their sexual orientation or gender identity or expression. We hope you can join us this November in Austin, TX, to bring the social issues surrounding the LGBT community to the forefront and help educate and promote equality for all Texans.
The event will be hosted in downtown Austin, TX, on November 12, 2016. The event will include a breakfast bar, a full bar, a raffle, and entertainment. Depending on the admission type you purchase, your admission may include bottomless mimosas. This year's theme is Kentucky Derby so please arrive in your Derby best!
