Lower Salt River Cleanup from Phon D Sutton to Granite Reef
Join Natural Restorations, Keep It Wild Co., & Friends of the Tonto National Forest as We Team Up to Remove Trash from the Lower Salt River from Phon D Sutton to Granite Reef on Saturday, February 18th at 8AM.
This is a water and land cleanup; we are looking for volunteers on foot to collect trash along the riverbanks and volunteers in kayaks, paddleboats, and canoes to collect trash in the water. Clubs and groups welcome!
We are working with local organizations to provide water crafts for volunteers who don't have equipment and register early. We'll provide additional details as soon as possible. If you are interested in borrowing equipment for the event, please let us know in advance.
*Anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
We are meeting at the Phon D Recreation Site, look for our banners and registration tables. Phon D Sutton and Granite Reef sites have bathrooms for volunteers. If you are participating in the event, you will not need a Tonto Pass when you park for the event.
