Description

LowCVP are hosting a workshop at Birmingham City University to discuss challenges facing the coach industry in the UK relating to air quality and reducing carbon emissions.

  • Joint Air Quality Unit - Policy and CAZ update
  • Transport for London - ULEZ introduction
  • Eminox - SCR Retrofit systems
  • Luckett's Coaches/Scania - HVO trial
  • Argent Energy - Renewable Diesel

The aim of the workshop is to bring together key stakeholders in the industry to discuss the following topics:

  • Current evidence base relating to coach operations and their contribution to emissions
  • Update on Clean Air Zone implementation across the UK
  • Funding opportunities
  • Retrofit technologies: approved and in progress
  • Low carbon coach technologies
  • Low carbon fuel options
  • Future LowCVP work on supporting the coach industry

Workshop attendees will include manufacturers, fuel suppliers, operators, policy makers, local authorities and central government.
