Event description

Description

This Retreat

Learn how mindfulness, intention, self-compassion, appreciation, and equanimity – all energies that we can expand through practice – can create conditions for self-acceptance and well being. Eve will share practices, Buddhist teachings, poetry, and song to support a deepening in lovingkindness towards one’s own self.

Song sheet will be provided (sing along or just listen).

Registration

The fee is on a sliding scale of $20 to $60, according to ability. A few days prior to the retreat the minimum fee increases to $25. Please consider that registration does not include a donation for the teacher. You can donate to the teacher on the day of the event.

  • Until Tuesday, Mar. 17: $20 to $60
  • After Tuesday, Mar. 17: $25 to $60

Scholarships are available upon request. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please contact the registrar, John, at jrosskopf@att.net to arrange for financial assistance.

If you wish to pay at the door or via check to the registrar, those options are available to you on the payment information page after you click the green "Register" button, enter the desired money amount and click the green "Checkout" button.

Dana

"Dana" is the Pali word for generosity and is the first paramita in Buddhism. You will be invited to give an additional teacher donation on the day of the retreat to thank and honor the teacher yourself as these teachings are priceless and freely given by the teacher (meaning they don't charge a specific fee).

The registration fee contributes to the rent, administrative costs, teacher travel, and material expenses for both this retreat as well as SBMG's ongoing Sunday Night programs.
